The day I was born
First I want to explane that I don't want to write about the YEAR I was born, but about the day. I was born the 17th December 2002, but I want to explain things about the 17th December of other years.

1843: Madagascar becomes a French protectorate.
1903: Kitty Hawk (North Carolina, United States), the Wright brothers made the first test flight of its first aircraft (the Wright Flyer).
1917: United States enacts Dry law.
1941: In World War II, the Battle of Sevastopol begins.
1946: In Cinco Casas (Spain) happens a railway accident, resulting in 21 deaths.
1961: Start of the Indian annexation of Goa, India by annexing Goa (overrun by Portugal since the seventeenth century).
1961: In the city of Niterói (vs. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) happens a fire at the Great American Circus, the greatest tragedy in the history of the circus.
1969: The United States Air Force Project Blue Book closes, research on UFOs.
1973: In the Rome-Fiumicino Airport flight bombing of a Pan American World Airways causes 32 deaths.
1983: In Madrid (Spain) 82 people die in the fire at the discotheque Alcala 20
1989: In the United States, Fox broadcast the first episode of the animated series The Simpsons.
